NWS declares fire weather watch

Incoming thunderstorms and high winds have put southeast Idaho under a red flag warning.

The warning is in effect early Monday through the evening. The National Weather Service declared the warning, saying lightning strikes with dry thunderstorms could create new fires.

Along with winds up to 30 mph, it creates ideal conditions for a wildfire.

Eight counties in the southeast mountains of Idaho are included in the warning.

NWS advises people not to do any outdoor burning Monday because of the winds.
