52nd Shoshone-Bannock Festival boasts record numbers
The 52nd Shoshone-Bannock Festival entered its second day Friday and organizers say it is already drawing record numbers.
The rodeo has 391 entries this year, which organizers said is about 100 more entries than last.
The Indian Relay Race also drew large numbers.
Mexican consul Celso Humberto Delgado-Ramirez toured the festival art show Friday afternoon, saying of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, “living in Mexico, we are true brothers. We are brothers together.”
The rodeo resumes Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a parade at 11 a.m.
