Child killed in tractor accident

The Bingham County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Saturday afternoon a 3-year-old boy who was run over by a tractor has died.

The child was riding on the tractor with his father behind the Rose Road LDS Church when he fell and was run over by the back wheel. He was then life-flighted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

The Sheriff’s Office has ruled it an accident.

“I feel really bad for this family,” neighbor Jana Hebdon said. “The loss of any child especially one so small is so heartbreaking. Obviously we don’t know who yet but my heart goes out to them. I hope the community’s heart goes out to them.” “I just want to make a plea that social media… no ignorant comments. The family doesn’t need it. Accidents are accidents. Social media has become a place where people vent or are rude and ignorant.” “The community needs to rally around this family and show them the love for the loss of this family.”
