Former Jefferson County sheriff appeals his conviction

Former Jefferson County Sheriff Blair Olsen has filed an appeal of his conviction with the Idaho Supreme Court.

Olsen spent 15 days in the Clark County jail and paid restitution to Jefferson County. He was convicted in May by a Twin Falls jury on three felony counts of misusing public funds.

The appeal questions the denial of Olsen’s motion for an acquittal, claiming the code it falls under is unconstitutionally vague and ambiguous.
