Bear put down after it entered homes
A grizzly bear was put down by wildlife managers Monday morning after being captured in the Island Park area.
Idaho Fish and Game public information officer Gregg Losinski said the 25-year-old bear had been a problem for awhile looking for food by getting into homes.
He said the bear’s teeth were bad and believed it was looking for easy food. That was one of the reasons for putting the bear down.
Losinski said people still need to be cautious as other bears are in the area.
