Mann runs for Rexburg Mayor

Another candidate has entered in the Rexburg mayor’s race.

City council member, Christopher J. Mann, submitted his candidacy Thursday morning at City Hall.

He feels his 10-year history as a city council member makes him a great candidate to serve the people of Rexburg.

As mayor, Mann said he will tackle the growth of Rexburg by working closely with BYU-Idaho.

He also said he wants to maintain a strong infrastructure while protecting neighborhoods.

“We’ve had lots of struggles between developments and neighborhoods and sometimes people do not feel like they are being listened to. I hope I can be the voice of reason, the voice of compromise, and work and bring all parties together so everybody feels their voice is being listened to in Rexburg,” he said.

Mann joins Jerry Merrill in running for the position. Merrill announced his bid earlier this week.
