Car crashes through entrance of Summit Orthopaedics

Idaho Falls Police Department is investigating a what caused a man to accidentally drive his SUV through the entrance of Summit Orthopaedics in Idaho Falls.

Idaho Falls Police says the 79 year old driver of the vehicle was driving through the circular drive on his way to pick up his wife. The driver accidentally hit the gas of his car instead of the brakes. As the car crashed through the door, the 77 year old woman was hit.

According to police she hit her head and was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries. The driver was also taken to the hospital for monitoring.
