Eastern Idaho communities show support for law enforcement

Two communities in eastern Idaho showed their support for law enforcement Friday.

At least 100 people attended a morning prayer vigil at Airport Park in Blackfoot and teachers in Bonneville School District 93 wore blue to work to honor law enforcement.

People participating said we need to be more supportive of police and other first responders.

“I don’t come from a police family. I just felt like we need to do something. We need to do a lot of things,” Vigil organizer Gay Sorensen said. “I think we don’t show appreciation enough.”
