Municipal election ballots set in Idaho Falls, Pocatello and Rexburg

Friday marked the deadline for people interested in seeking city council seats in the November municipal elections to file petitions of candidacy.

In Idaho Falls, Michelle Ziel-Dingman and John Pendlebury filed for Seat Number 1. Thomas Hally will face a challenge from Evan Bastow for Seat Number 3. Four people have filed for Seat Number 5, including John Radford, Dennis Emery, Errol Ellis, and Jilene Berger. David Smith will run unopposed for Seat Number 2.

Three city council seats are up for election in Pocatello. W. James Johnston and Danny Wells are seeking election for Seat Number 1. Four people will seek Seat Number 2, including Steve Brown, Sierra “Idaho Lorax” Carta, Wayne “Skip” Carter, and Kevin Perry. Four people have also filed for Seat Number 3. They are Roger Bray, Analyn Frasure, Nathan Millward, and Barbara Orr.

In Rexburg, two city councilmen will seek to replace Mayor Richard Woodland. Christopher Mann and Jerry Merrill will face-off in November. Six people have filed for election to three available city council seats. They are Sally Smith, Jordan Busby, Justin Egbert, William Harding, Vince Haley and Tisha W. Flora.
