Yeates pleads not guilty

Alisha Yeates, a former Blackfoot High School girls’ soccer coach charged with multiple counts of lewd conduct, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Bannock County court.

Yeates, accompanied by attorney Justin Oleson, entered the plea before Sixth District Judge David Nye.

She faces two counts of lewd conduct in Bannock County and five counts of the same charge in Bingham County. The charges were made by one of her former players.

Nye set Yeates’ jury trial date for Dec. 1. She is set to appear in Bingham County court on Sept. 17 for a preliminary hearing.
