PAWS offers reward for information on pony attack

The Portneuf Animal Welfare Society or PAWS, is offering a reward of $1,700 to anyone who provides a lead on who may have been responsible for the beating and dragging a Shetland Pony named Patches.

Patches had to be euthanized because of the extent of the injuries.

A spokesperson for Paws said people all the way from Canada are calling about Patches.

“A person that would do this to animal be it a dog or a horse a cat a cow they’re the kind of people who are going to go along and through their life and going to injury and child or another person, it’s a cowardly act,”said Jo Lynn Anderson, the director of PAWS.
