Partridge fire near Ashton grows to 363 acres

The Partridge fire, located near Warm River Road, is now estimated at 363 acres and is 0 percent contained. The fire is approximately 9 miles east-southeast of Osborn Bridge.

The lightning caused fire is slowly working its way north and east, torching, spotting and creating a natural fuels reduction area.

Fire managers will allow the fire to play its natural role in the ecosystem. Forecast moisture and cooler temperatures overnight and Tuesday are expected to slow the progress of the fire.

Some roads and trails within the fire area are closed.
