Inauguration Day at BYU Idaho
A crowd of about 15,000 filled the BYU Idaho Center Tuesday afternoon for the inauguration of Dr. Clark Gilbert as the 16th president of Brigham Young University-Idaho.
The ceremony began shortly after 2 p.m. A reception for Gilbert was planned in the Manwaring Center Grand Ballroom.
Gilbert recently served as as the president and CEO of Deseret News Publishing Company and Deseret Digital Media in Salt Lake City.
He served previously as Assistant Vice President of Student Life, Managing Director of Student Activities, and then as Associate Academic Vice President , overseeing online learning and the Pathway program.
Gilbert also had administrative responsibility for formalizing the implementation of BYU-Idaho’s Learning Model.
