Belichick mum on QB decision as other roster decisions loom

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Bill Belichick still isn’t saying whether Cam Newton or rookie Mac Jones will be his Week 1 starter at quarterback. But that’s just one of several intriguing roster decisions the Patriots coach must make before the NFL’s mandatory 53-man roster cutdown. New England also has some tough calls to make at running back, receiver and in the secondary. It’s all part of the Patriots’ offseason makeover as they try to bounce back from a 7-9 finish in 2020.
