There are truck campers, and then there are TRUCK CAMPERS

It’s big, it’s bad, and it’s definitely unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Idaho Falls based Powerhouse Coach Inc.’s new custom made truck camper is one of the largest campers of it’s kind available for sale.

“I’m very convinced that this is the largest removable truck camper that’s ever been built,” said Doug Tolbert, president and founder of Powerhouse Coach Inc.

These over-sized removable truck campers have the advantage of being portable and maneuverable like other truck campers, but have the size, space, and carrying capacity of larger tow only camper trailers.

This particular camper trailer is made to go just about anywhere. “It has over-sized tires, it has air suspension that will actually raise or lower the height of the truck or ground clearance,” said Tolbert. “It will drive through mud, crud, snow, or whatever you need.”

Tolbert said doing custom truck campers allows buyers to really pick and choose what they want. Models start at around $88,000 but can be upgraded with dozens of options.

Top of the line models like the one featured, provide over 300 square feet of living space with all four slide-out rooms extended. “It’s completely loaded, and it’s completely self contained,” said Tolbert. “It has it’s own water system, fuel system, heat system, solar panels, light tracking satellite TV. There’s nothing roughing it about this truck camper.”

Tolbert’s truck camper is so unique, it was recently the feature for an episode of Travel Channel’s Extreme RV’s.
