Tautphaus Park murder suspect appears at preliminary hearing

Brian J. Mitchell appeared in 7th District Court in Idaho Falls for his preliminary hearing Wednesday.

According to Bonneville County Prosecutor Daniel Clark, Mitchell was bound to district court on a charge of 2nd degree murder. He’ll be arraigned and enter an initial plea to the charge on November 3.

Mitchell is the primary suspect in the murder ofDeraek Patrick Larson at Tautphaus Park in August.
