Montana murder suspect arrested in Idaho Falls

During a court hearing in Idaho Falls Thursday, Tony Sawyer waived extradition to Montana. He will be returned to Butte to face murder charges there.
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man who is accused of killing one man and shooting two others Tuesday night in Montana.
Tony Dwade Sawyer of Lubbock, Texas was arrested by the Bonneville County Sheriff’s office at around 3 p.m. Wednesday. Sawyer was driving a Mitsubishi Mirage when a deputy pulled him over.
The sheriff’s office received a tip from the Butte-Silver Bow Law Enforcement Department that Sawyer was in the Idaho Falls area after they tracked a cell phone that was in Sawyer’s possession.
Sawyer was arrested without incident and is being held on a bond of $1 million.
Sawyer is being charged with one count of deliberate homicide and two counts of attempted deliberate homicide.
