Servicing your car will save you money in long run
It’s that time of year again – the severe, cold weather taking a hold of your money, but it doesn’t have to in terms of your car.
The Ford Country service shop reminds you to take care of some very important car factors that won’t fail you if you keep them up and running.
Ford’s Service Advisor J.J Sherbert says your battery and tires take the worst beating in our cold weather.
“Sometimes, car batteries don’t even give you warning that they’re about to die. They freeze up if you don’t keep a constant charge on your battery.”
Sherbert says you can get a battery tender from any parts store to help you preserve your battery. Ford will even install it for you.
“You leave it plugged in in the wall of your garage and it keeps it charged,” said Sherbert.
Tires are the constant concern he says, but chains are a thing of yesterday so people are investing in snow tires and all season tires. Plus, sand bags inside your trunk to keep you well balanced on snowy roads.
But he says Ford offers a free winter inspection that will keep your car up to date on possible future problems. The sooner you know about it, the sooner you can hopefully prevent it to save you money.
