Sculptor’s work showcased throughout the nation

“I noticed I didn’t wake up and say wow I can’t wait to make that cookie jar today,” said Daniel Borup when he talks about how he started sculpting human figures.

He’s currently working on a big headed piece of a man with a whole lot of hair and with the hair- a big beard.

“There’s so much character involved, he’s older so there’s wrinkles,” said Borup.

For all we know, his sculptures could be one of us.

“I look at people’s ears and noses all the time,” said Borup. He adds he hopes people don’t think he’s being creepy, as it’s all for his work.

Borup also works as an art teacher at Shelley High School, but he hopes to see his work far beyond the classroom.
