District 93 discusses school revisions
District 93 continues to work on building a new high school to deal with overcrowding.
District leaders held three meetings Wednesday night to discuss the revisions made by the architects.
School board chairmen, Brian McBride said all the board members would attend the meeting.
McBride said they were going to get more into detail with the project.
“Where classrooms will be placed, entrances and where the classrooms will be facing, and storage rooms,” McBride said.
McBride explained the next step.
“We’re getting closer to breaking ground and that’s getting exciting with all the work that’s been put into it. You know the community is getting excited. Progress being made there’s a lot of excitement in the air to finally see this high school breaking ground,” McBride said.
At this point the district is interviewing general contracting companies.
“We want the project done right, so we’re looking for the best company for the job,” McBride said.
The project is set to break ground sometime in summer.
