EIPH holds open house
Eastern Idaho Public Heath held an open house to welcome in its new physicians assistant, Dr. Allison Barto.
It also provided low cost or even free health services. Those services were not billed through insurance. Mammograms, STD testing and flu shots were the care Dr. Barto provided.
“We were doing STD testing for chlamydia, ghonerrea, and HIV, which are the most common STDs in our area. It is STD awareness month and that’s where the ball really got rolling.”
The new PA was providing those clinical exams Saturday. Dr. Barto has worked in Las Vegas and Pocatello. She’s also done tours in Kuwait and Afghanistan.
