Spring Brew attracts locals

Idaho Falls downtown business attract hundreds of people to their Spring Brew event.

The event focused on bringing foot traffic to the local shops and restaurants, with all the proceeds raised going toward beautifying downtown Idaho Falls.

“It’s used to beautify downtown,” Krisi Staten, executive director of down town development said. “We plant flowers in our flower baskets. We buy Christmas decorations. We do light pole banners.”

Katy Warren said she enjoys events like Spring Brew.

“They’re raising money for making the community better and bring more people downtown,” Warren said.

The city also did fall and winter brew events that attracted locals.

“We’ve seen an increase in traffic flow downtown. People are getting the idea that downtown is fun again. Downtown has a lot of shops and restaurants to offer,” Staten said.
