CBS Sunday Morning News to cover the worst flag in the country

A well-known reporter for CBS Sunday Morning News was in Pocatello on Tuesday.

Mo Rocca came to Pocatello to do a story for CBS on Pocatello’s city flag. Rocca said he’s working on a piece about flags and after a Ted Talk called Pocatello’s flag “the worst flag in the U.S.,” it caught his interest.

So he came to Pocatello to talk to the mayor and people here about the flag. He also interviewed Roman Mars, the designer for the city’s new flag.

Rocca said he came to Pocatello because he was impressed with the city’s response to having the worst flag. He said he’s impressed that the city is taking action and doing something.

“They care,” said Rocca. “They’re making plans and actually doing something about it. They’ve formed a committee and are designing a new one. I think that’s a great response by the community.”
