Fire at Evans Grain fills sky with smoke

Fire investigators are looking into what caused a fire behind Evans Grain Wednesday evening just north of Ammon.

The fire broke out around 7 p.m., Several fire engines raced to a huge blaze at Evans Grain on Lincoln Road. It lasted for about 20 minutes.

While the fire happened on the grain operation property, there is word the structure that went up in flames is a building from the old sugar factory.

There No reports of any injuries.

Fire officials say they have checked the building and no one was inside.

Evans Grain is located in the Lincoln area of Bonneville County, just to the north of Ammon city limits. Crews from Bonneville County Fire and Idaho Falls City Fire, worked to put out the flames.
