One killed in I-15 crash north of Roberts

Idaho State Police confirm one man was killed Wednesday night in a crash on Interstate 15 north of Roberts.

Idaho State Police sayat approximately 4:23 p.m., McNeil Walker, 21, of Idaho Falls, was driving a John Deere tractor southbound on Interstate 15 near milepost 140. His vehicle was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer was being driven by William Gago, 23, of Worth, Florida. After the vehicles made contact, they rolled, coming to rest in the median.

Walker succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Gago was not transported.

Walker was wearing a seat-belt at the time of the crash.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police. The investigation was assisted by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson County Quick Response Unit and the Idaho Transportation Department.
