Amber Alert issued for Caldwell children
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) – An Amber Alert has been issued forthree Caldwell childrenwhile police are looking for their mother’s boyfriend, a 37-year-old Caldwell man who’s wanted on a charge of sex abuse of a child.
Police are looking for Lewis Dunn, 10, Kaylee Dunn, 9, and Kadyn Simon, 6, who are believed to be with Jason “Travis” Simon. The children are believed to be in imminent danger.
They were last seen in Sparks, Nev., on Sunday.
Detectives say Simon and his girlfriend, Sarah Joy VanOcker-Dunn, share a house in Caldwell with her three children, who are between the ages of six and 10 years old. The sheriff’s office believes one of the children is a victim of Simon’s.
A warrant has also been issued for VanOcker-Dunn for felony charge of custodial interference. Investigators believe her hair might be dyed red.
Deputies say whenthey went to the home to execute a search warrant, the couple became aware that law enforcement was looking for Simon and they fled with the children before they arrived.
The sheriff’s office says the couple and the three children were seen in Emmett borrowing camping gear from family members of VanOcker-Dunn on June 2. The couple and the children were believed to have been camping in Sweet, Ola, or Valley County to avoid arrest in the time shortly after being seen in Emmett.
Police say they are likely driving around in VanOcker-Dunn’s gold 2006 Pontiac Montana with a license plate that reads 2CJN683.
