Chubbuck welcomes new sushi and hibachi restaurant
The wait is over for some amazing Japanese cuisine in Chubbuck. The Japanese sushi and hibachi restaurant “Fuji” made its grand opening Thursday morning.
City leaders including Chubbuck Mayor Kevin England were there to celebrate with a ribbon cutting.
The highly modern restaurant features steak, fish, other sea foods and numerous kinds of sushi rolls. Entries can be cooked right in front of you at the grill.
Manager of the restaurant, Karen Deng says their sushi is beyond excellent because their hibachi head chef comes from years of experience from Japan.
“So excited! Lots of people come over here. I have met lots of new friends. We were just open for one week since last Monday. And then, lots of people came and they’re so happy with us. Because it’s like a totally new restaurant in town,” said Deng.
She says her favorite dish so far at Fuji is the crab meat with salmon.
Fuji has a location in Idaho Falls, and now has its location in Chubbuck on Bullock Street, next door to Starbucks.
