Heavy smoke blocks views in Grand Teton Park

A fire southeast of Jackson is filling the skies of Jackson and Grand Teton National Park with smoke.

The smoke is thick enough, that it difficult to see the Grand Teton peaks from the valley floor.

The Cliff Creek fire started Sunday afternoon, 5-miles north of Bondurant, Wyoming. The fire has burned over 2,220 acres.

The smoke isn’t stopping tourists from their activities in Grand Teton Park.

People we spoke with said they were glad to see the Teton peaks yesterday, but they’re still planning on hiking and exploring the park today.

Fire managers said the fire started from lightning.
