Bingham County 4H fair underway
It’s fair time already and the Bingham County 4H fair is going on.
Kids work all summer to prepare their animals for show. It’s one of the biggest attractions at the fair.
The big point of 4H is to give kids a sense of responsibility and self pride. It teaches basic fundamental life skills to kids in a fun way.
“The 4H program is really about the youth,” Bingham County extension educator Meranda Small said. “I’m just excited for them because that’s something they get to keep forever. Nobody can take that away from them. It’s something they earned.”
The horse show was Friday. The rest of the Bingham County 4H fair continues this week at the Eastern Idaho State Fair grounds.
