Fire near St. Anthony burns 50 acres

UPDATE 8/07/16 – 8:20 p.m. The White Sands fire located 14 miles west of Ashton has burned 50 acres. Two engines and a dozer are being used by crews. There are no containment or control estimates at this time due to difficult access.

A wildfire broke out in St. Anthony at 4:25 Sunday afternoon near the Sand Hills Resort on Red Road.

The St. Anthony Fire Department confirmed the fire, but no word on how the fire started or fast it’s burning.

The fire department, North Fremont Fire Protection, South Fremont Fire District, and the BLM are all responding to the scene.
