Detailed Forecast for Oct. 13, 2016

A parade of Pacific storms are projected to move into the Northern Rockies over the next several days. The first of which is slamming into Oregon and Washington today and will move into East Idaho by tomorrow. We get a bit of a break late Friday and into Saturday before an even stronger storm moves in for the rest of the weekend.

Thursday, starting off chilly and sunny before much warmer air moves in later this afternoon along with cloudy skies. Winds light at first but then switching back from the southwest at 10-20mph by the evening hours. Highs into the 60’s.

Tonight, overcast with showers starting to work in across the Central Mountains. Lows will be much more mild with temps steady into the 40’s and 50’s. Chance of rain 30%.

Friday, will be cold, wet and cloudy with valley rains and high mountain snow above 8500 feet. Strong winds will also be an issue with southwest winds cranking up between 20-40mph. Highs into the 50’s. Chance of rain 100%.

Saturday, a mix of sun and clouds as we see a bit of a break in activity before another storm moves into the area by the evening hours. Breezy with southwest winds from 15-30mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Sunday, another soggy day with widespread rains and mountain snow. Highs into the 40’s and 50’s. Chance of rain 90%.
