NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
VISTAWEST MEDIA, LLC. (THE “STATION”) MAY CHANGE AND/OR THE TERMS OF THE CONTEST WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.
Pitch World Series Challenge (hereafter “contest”)
HOW TO ENTER AND WIN: To enter you must answer the contest questions located on KIDK.com. The winning bracket will be determined by Second Street, and will be based off overall points.
The station is not responsible for problems accessing the website or Facebook sites, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the entry, or any other problems which may not result from station contests.
WINNER SELECTION: The winner with the most points will be selected as the overall winner winning a Pitch Prize Package.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: Unless otherwise stated, winners will be notified by e-mail and/or phone. VistaWest Media, LLC. is not responsible if the winner is unable to be notified via the email address submitted to enter the contest. The winner will have 30-days to claim the prize.
ELIGIBILITY: The contest is open to legal residents of southeast Idaho & western Wyoming (Counties include: Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Bonneville, Butte, Caribou, Cassia, Clark, Custer, Franklin, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison, Minidoka, Oneida, Power, Teton ID, Lincoln WY and Teton WY) who are eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Winners of previous contests or sweepstakes are not eligible to win another contest within a 60-day period.
Employees, temporary employees, independent contractors and interns of VistaWest Media, LLC., their respective subsidiaries, parents, partners, other sweepstakes sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies (hereinafter “Sponsors”) and the immediate family members of each, are not eligible to win prizes.
Unless otherwise indicated on our website or as explained by our on-air talent or in our on-air promotion, there is a limit of one entry per contest per person. Any person submitting more than one entry per contest may be disqualified.

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash; substitutions may not be requested. By participating in a contest and accepting a prize, participants and winner will be deemed to agree to these Rules. The winner may be required to produce identification satisfactory to the Station and/or sign an affidavit of eligibility and/or a release (including a publicity release) as prepared by the Sponsors as a condition for receiving their prize. Travel is not included unless specifically stated. The winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local income and any other taxes, fees and surcharges. An IRS Form 1099 will be issued for all prizes with a retail value in excess of $600. The Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
If a prize is unclaimed within 30-days after the winner was announced, the prize will be either returned to the Sponsor or awarded in a future contest.
No responsibility is assumed by VistaWest Media, LLC, their respective subsidiaries, parents, partners, or other sponsors for lost, late, misdirected, or illegible entries or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. All entries become the property of the Station and will not be returned to the Participant. Multiple entries by the same person, including those made electronically by one person using one or more e-mail accounts, will result in disqualification. All e-mail entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified with a natural person by appropriate independent means, including, without limitation, reverse domain name search.
ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received.
CONDUCT: By entering the contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The Official Rules will be posted at http://www.localnews8.com/contests throughout the contest. Participants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the Station, which shall be final and binding in all respects. The Station reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Web site; or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules.
You agree that in your participation in the contest you will not use obscene, libelous or slanderous language, or language that infringes upon a third party’s trademark, trade name or other intellectual property right or right of privacy. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VistaWest Media, LLC, their respective subsidiaries, parents, partners, or other contest sponsors, officers, consultants, agents, and employees against and from all claims, damages liabilities, costs and expenses asserted by third parties alleging that the contest includes obscenity, libel, slander, or infringes upon the third party’s intellectual property or privacy rights, as a direct result of your actions in connection with the contest. You further agree to not knowingly damage or cause interruption of the contest or to prevent others’ participation in the contest.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE WEB SITES OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE STATION RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
RULES/WINNERS LIST: For officials rules of the contest send an email to news@localnews8.com. Upon request, the station will provide a list of winner(s) (name(s) only) from each of its contests. In order to request such a list, please send an email to news@localnews8.com within 30-days after the prize is awarded. Be sure to specify the name of the contest for which you are requesting the rules or winners list.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: The contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright VistaWest Media, LLC and/or their sponsors. The names, logos, and icons identifying the products and services of the contest are proprietary marks of VistaWest Media, LLC. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted material or trademarks without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem, or in the event the contest is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the contest to address the impairment and then resume the contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the contest and, in the event of termination, award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney’s fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION: Use of name, voice, and or likeness or calling the Station to participate in the contest constitutes permission for the Station to tape the caller’s voice and use it on the air. All telephone calls during the contest may be taped without further permission from the caller. Entry into the contest constitutes permission for each Sponsor and its designees to use the contestant’s name, likeness, portrait, voice and/or biographical material for an unlimited period of time.
By participating in the contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the contest, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the contest, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the contest; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d) any other errors or problems in connection with the contest, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the contest, the announcement of the winner, the cancellation or postponement of the event and/or the flyover, if applicable, or in any contest-related materials; or (e) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the contest or acceptance, receipt or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the contest, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
FACEBOOK: Facebook or its entities have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in Station’s contests or any prize awarded. Station contests are in no way sponsored by, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
