Idaho Falls LDS Temple to be rededicated June 4, 2017

The Idaho Falls LDS Temple will be rededicated on Sunday, June 4, 2017, the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ announced Friday.

An open house for the public to visit the temple will be from Saturday, April 22 through May 20, 2017, except for April 23, April 30, May 7 and May 14.

The rededication will take place in three sessions.

A cultural celebration featuring music and dance will be on Saturday, June 3, 2017, they reported.

The Idaho Falls temple was closed in March 2015 for renovations.

The temple was first dedicated on September 23, 1945 and is located on the Snake River. It was the 8th operating temple of the Church’s 154 temples worldwide, they said.
