Update: Teen killed in snowmobile accident identified

Update: The 14-year-old boy who was killed in a snowmobile accident has been identified. Logan Alan Billman died from injuries he sustained after a snowmobile he was riding rolled. The full obituary for Logan can be found on Wood Funeral Home’s website.

Original Story: A 14-year-old died Monday following a snowmobile accident in Bonneville County.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s office says just after 4:00 p.m. Deputies and Idaho Falls Ambulance were called to an area above Blackhawk Estates.

The accident happened more than a half-mile from the roadway in the foothills where 2 teenage boys were riding a snowmobile.

The sheriff’s office says it appears the snowmobile went over an embankment and rolled injuring one of the boys.

The other boy was able to call dispatch and started CPR until a deputy arrived to help.

Due to terrain Air Idaho was sent and took the victim to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center here he died.
