New business is booming after opening for one month
A new fitness equipment shop has been open for just a month and it is already doing so well!
This warehouse is not just any warehouse; it is home to a used home-fitness equipment business, based in Idaho Falls.
Curtis Bishop is the owner and founder of Quality Home Fitness.
He sells equipment that are considered damaged through shipping and have been factory refurbished for his warehouse.
“We have everything from $200 treadmills to $2,000 treadmills and everything in between. You know, ellipticals, exercise bikes rowing machines, weight machines and they’re all discounted on average about 50 percent off and it’s great because they’re still ‘new’ machines,” Bishop said.
It did not just happen over night; it started on Ebay, then near the end of November, Curtis was able to open an actual facility for his business.
“Up until about a month ago, we would just sell machines on Ebay and Amazon and ship them from our facility here. I had the opportunity to buy a lot more machines, so we were able to supply a showroom here at the warehouse,” Bishop said.
Curtis said his warehouse has supplied hundreds of people with ellipticals, in Idaho Falls.
“A lot of people don’t like to go to the gym. One: because it’s expensive month to month and secondly they are crowded and a lot of people who are just starting with their fitness goals feel uncomfortable being around other people. So home fitness equipment, I’m a big fan of because you can workout in your home. To me, that’s the best way to go,” Bishop said.
It has always been Curtis’ dream to start his own business and now this is his dream come true.
He said he has learned so much about himself and his work ethic.
“It’s a little bit surreal because it’s been one year and now we have a 12,000 sqft warehouse and hundreds of machines in stock. It’s really fun talking to people, getting to know what people want to do with their fitness goals and just honestly, get them a machine that they can afford,” Bishop said.
