A Winter Weather Advisory for the Snake River Plain is in effect from 5am to 9pm. We’ll look for 2-4″ of new snowfall for Eastern Idaho by this weekend. The worst time on the roads will be Thursday and Friday with snow and freezing rain possibilities. Thursday, snow likely with a cloudy sky. A high near 25° to 30° in the Plain. New snow accumulation of 2-4″ expected. More across the Southern Highlands and Central Mountains with lighter accumulations across the Teton Valley and Western Wyoming. Tonight, overcast with some scattered snow showers. Temps staying steady into the lower 20’s. Light accumulations of an inch or less. Chance of snow 50%. Friday, A 50% chance of snow. Mostly cloudy with some snow showers and some partial clearing expected later in the day. Highs near 30°. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Saturday, mainly cloudy again with a 40% chance at snow. Light snowfall accumulations. Highs into the upper 20’s for the Snake River Plain.
