A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for much of the region. The warning goes into Tuesday morning with periods of heavy snow, especially in the Upper Valley and Eastern Highlands, and gusty winds. An additional 3-6 inches possible for the Snake River Plain. Tonight, snow showers lingering with overcast skies. Chance of snow 40%. Temps dropping into the teens and low 20’s. Tuesday, lingering light snow showers across the region, with most of them sticking to the eastern and southeastern highlands. Any new snow amounts will range from a trace to about 2 inches. Count on mostly cloudy skies with a bit of sunshine peaking through at times. Highs will be in the teens and 20’s. Breezy with southwest winds at 10-25 mph. Wednesday, partly sunny with just a stray snow shower or two in the high country. Highs will be on the cold side topping out in the teens for most cities with only a few spots like the southern Snake River Plain reaching the 20’s.
