Evening Forecast for Sunday, Jan. 29

A nice winter day for everyone today. It was still colder in the valleys than the mountains, but at least we saw some sunshine.

Tonight, mostly clear skies, at least until the fog builds in. Count on morning fog with some slick roads for your morning commute. Morning lows will be chilly, bottoming out near 0.

Monday, partly cloudy skies with morning fog that should burn off by lunch. Daytime highs in the upper teens and 20’s with some higher elevations getting warmer than the valleys.

Tuesday, increasing clouds and breezes as a storm moves to our north. Count on afternoon snow showers in the central mountains, the continental divide, the upper plain, and in the Tetons. The lower Snake River Plain might see a stray shower or two, but chances are slim. Daytime highs will be in the upper 20’s and lower 30’s.

Wednesday, on-and-off snow showers in the northern half of our region with a few drifting into the southern plain and the SE highlands. Daytime highs in the upper 20’s and 30’s. Some showers will be a mix of rain and snow as temperatures get warm enough.
