Detailed Forecast for January 30, 2017
Another cold winters day for everyone again. Inversions still remain in place meaning warmer temps on the mid and upper slopes. This quiet weather pattern will be coming to an end soon, bringing in more snow and even rain by the middle and end of the week.
Monday, partly cloudy skies with morning fog that should burn off by lunch. Daytime highs in the upper teens and 20’s with some higher elevations getting warmer than the valleys.
Tonight, partly to mostly cloudy with a few snow showers possible along the Divide and into the Tetons. Lows near 10°.
Tuesday, increasing clouds and breezes as a storm moves to our north. Count on afternoon snow showers in the central mountains, the continental divide, the upper plain, and in the Tetons. The lower Snake River Plain might see a stray shower or two, but chances are slim. Daytime highs will be in the upper 20’s and lower 30’s.
Wednesday, on-and-off snow showers in the northern half of our region with a few drifting into the southern plain and the SE highlands. Daytime highs in the upper 20’s and 30’s. Some showers will be a mix of rain and snow as temperatures get warm enough.
