Bingham County road closures ordered

Bingham County Road and Bridge has closed several roads and has issued warnings about others. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution anywhere there is water crossing a road. Rapid changes in temperature can also change road conditions quickly. People who live along endangered roads are advised to develop evacuation contingency plans, especially if they have any conditions that may require immediate medical attention. The following roads are under close watch: Aberdeen: 2700 S 1100 W CLOSED 1300 S 3000 W – 3100 W CLOSED 1400 S 2794 W OPEN USE CAUTION 1800 S 2900 W OPEN USE CAUTION 3000 W 1400 S to 1500 S CLOSED 3100 W 1400 S to 1500 S OPEN USE CAUTION Blackfoot: 350 S 1100 W OPEN USE CAUTION 1600 W 300 N to 400 N OPEN USE CAUTION 300 N 1400 W to 1500 W OPEN USE CAUTION 900 W Munson Loop North of Hwy 26 OPEN USE CAUTION 1200 W North of Hwy 26 CLOSED 1500 W 400 N to 500 N OPEN USE CAUTION Springfield: 2800 W 1000 S CLOSED 1900 W 500 N to 600 N CLOSED Bingham County Emergency Management is advising all residents to create a disaster plan including everyone in their household. The plan should include direction on where to meet and who you would contact in case of flooding. And, officials urge all residents to be prepared to evacuate at a moment’s notice.
