UPDATE: Two killed in two vehicle crash on Highway 30

Update 6:10 pm: Idaho State Police says the drivers of two vehicles involved in a crash on Highway 30 between McCammon and Lava Hot Springs have died.

At about 1:30 Thursday afternoon ISP responded to the crash. After investigation officers say a 1995 GMC Yukon driven by Larry E. Holloway of Pocatello, ID was driving westbound on the highway when he crossed into oncoming lanes. Holloway’s vehicle hit a 2014 Jeep Cherokee driven by Brendan K. Shakur of Clinton, UT. Holloway and Shakur died from their injuries at the scene of the crash.

Holloway was not wearing a seat belt. Shakur was wearing a seat belt.

Eastbound lanes were blocked by the crash vehicles for about three hours.

Update 5:10 pm: Idaho State Police say the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 30 are now open again after the injury crash earlier Thursday afternoon. No additional details on the vehicles involved have been released at this time.

Original Post: Idaho State Police are investigating an injury crash on U.S. Highway 30 between McCammon and Lava Hot Springs at milepost 366.

Both eastbound lanes of traffic are blocked. ISP has not released details on how many were involved in the crash or what the condition of those involved is.
