Male grizzly bear relocated near Cody

Wyoming Game and Fish personnel trapped and relocated a sub-adult male grizzly bear Wednesday. The bear had been frequenting developed areas on private lands along the South Fork of the Shoshone River west of Cody, Wyoming. The bear was relocated to an area about 12 miles east of Moran in the Blackrock Creek drainage. When selecting a relocation site, the department tries to minimize potential conflicts with livestock and people. The overall goal is to minimize the chance of future conflicts and maximize the survival potential of the relocated animals.
