Detailed AM Forecast June 1st, 2017

Scattered showers and thunderstorms move in as our ridge of high pressure heads east, allowing for the cooler weather to take hold for the next couple of days. Another ridge moves in for the weekend, but not lasting long as another area of low pressure slides in for Sunday. The flood warning for the Big Wood River in Hailey continues, as well as the Bear River at the border. The National Weather Service has extended the flood warning for rain and snowmelt in Custer, Blaine and Northwestern Butte County. Thursday: Partly to mostly cloudy A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Highs in the upper 70’s. South southwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Friday: mostly sunny with highs into the upper 70’s. Saturday, sunny with highs into the mid 80’s. Sunday, sunny with highs in the high 80’s.
