Flood Advisory extended for Snake River

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a flood advisory for the Snake River for Bonneville, Jefferson and Madison counties. The National Weather Service says. “Releases from Palisades Reservoir will keep the Snake River near Heise just below flood stage for the remainder of the week and likely continue through the weekend. If you plan on being on or near the river, be aware that the water is high and swift. Flood Warning continues for the Teton River near Driggs. The river will peak today between 4.35 and 4.4. Expect a gradual decrease the next couple of days with cooler temperatures. Flood Warning continues for the Big Lost River Releases from the Mckay Reservoir have flows that have been steady around 4.4 to 4.5 feet. Upstream flows at the Howell ranch has started to slowly decrease with cooler temperatures. Expect inflows to the reservoir to slightly decrease the next couple of days.
