Pocatello finds popularity among investors

Greg Johnston, a realtor in Pocatello said the city is attracting international investors. Johnston said one of the reasons why is because buying property in Pocatello can be a safer investment compared to buying property elsewhere. The reason for this is because property in Pocatello does not see big swings or drops in value.

Johnston said investors can also easily buy property in Pocatello and turn right around and easily rent it out.

“They have discovered Pocatello has low prices, good amount of rental income, and very low vacancy factors. They have found you can get pretty good cash flow buying investment property in Pocatello compared to other places,” Johnston said.

Unlike other cities, where looking for tenants can be time consuming, Johnston said renting out property in Pocatello tends to be a lot easier.
