Tire fire sends black smoke into the sky

UPDATE: 3:13 P.M. Firefighters said they believe the fire started in a field and burned up to the building, but did not involve the building. Some cars were burned. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. ORIGINAL STORY: Idaho Falls firefighters were called to a fire near the intersection of Woodruff and Precision Drive, just south of Yellowstone HWY at around 2:45 p.m. Friday. Tires were on fire near the StarLite Skating Rink.
