Freezing Fog Advisory for Tonight & Friday DEC 8th, 2017

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Freezing
Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 8 AM MST Friday.

Eastern Magic Valley-Upper Snake River Plain-
Lower Snake River Plain-Cache Valley/Idaho Portion-
Including the cities of Burley, Rupert, Heyburn, Idaho Falls,
Rexburg, Pocatello, and Preston

…FREEZING FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM MST FRIDAY…

* TIMING…Through Friday morning.

* VISIBILITY…Widespread visibility at or below 1 mile, with
local visibility restrictions below 1/4 mile.

* IMPACTS…Freezing fog can deposit ice on roadways and
sidewalks, especially in areas where visibility is significantly
restricted. Overpasses will be especially vulnerable to
collection of ice from the fog.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A freezing fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Also,
