South West Idaho woman in custody following shooting
Police say a southwestern Idaho woman is in custody following a shooting that injured another woman.
Caldwell police tell the Idaho Statesman that 19-year-old Arlette Tineza was taken into custody Saturday morning.
Police say they responded at about 1 a.m. to a residence after receiving a report that a woman had been shot. Police say they found a 24-year-old victim and she was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities say Tineza fled the scene but was located in her residence and still had a gun in her possession.
She was being held in the Canyon County Jail on suspicion of aggravated battery, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
