Police arrest four and confiscate over 22 grams of meth in SWAT drug bust

Over the weekend, Idaho Falls Police made four drug related arrests, including one felony charge for possession of a controlled substance, after officers gained information which allowed them to obtain a search warrant for a home near 21st Street and South Boulevard.

According to Lieutenant Joel Tisdale, the S.W.A.T. team commander announced their arrival and that they had a search warrant over the loudspeaker Sunday.

The commander asked everyone in the house to come out with their hands up.

After breaching the home, IFPD arrested two females and two males on drug related charges. The four were later identified as Teresa Olds, Shanna Mae Garner, Henry Charboneau and Pedro A. Lopez.

Idaho Falls Police took 22.4 grams of methamphetamine into evidence, a small amount of marijuana, paraphernalia and other narcotics which are unidentified and undergoing testing.

Idaho Code 37-2732B(4) lists 28 grams or more of methamphetamine as the threshold for drug trafficking charges.

Lieutenant Tisdale said the team did an exceptional job keeping the incident completely contained, executing everything according to plan and reopening streets quickly after the arrests.

Olds was charged with {Felony} Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia-Use or Possess With Intent to Use, and Garner, Charboneau and Lopez were charged with Frequenting a Place where Controlled Substance(s) is/are Used, Manufactured, Cultivated, Held, Delivered, Given.

All four will be arraigned today, January 29 at 1:00 p.m.
