Pocatello woman named Small Business Person of the Year
A Pocatello woman has been named 2018 Idaho Small Business Person of the Year by the the U.S. Small Business Administration. September Myres is president and CEO of Sundance Consulting, Inc. in Pocatello.
The company was founded in 2005 to provide environmental, compliance, natural resources, cultural resources and remediation services to clients across the United States and abroad.
Myres was raised on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation and started the company to provide solutions to environmental issues resulting from Department of Defense activities on tribal lands.
“As Sundance continues its growth, we will also continue to be a good steward of the land through our daily work practices,” Myres said. “We will continue our responsible use, protection and restoration of our environment for the plants, the animals and the people that rely upon it.”
Small Business Person of the Year winners from 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam will converge in Washington, D.C. April 29-30 when one of them will be selected as the National Small Business Person of the Year.
